ORIGAMI Harmony Cup

This cup was developed in collaboration with Ryan Wibawa, Indonesia's Brewers Champion (2016/2024).

With a focus on shape and color, this cup combines beautiful design with functionality, making it suitable for a wide range of settings, from everyday coffee drinking to cafes and barista competitions.

- Shape that enhances aroma -
The basic shape of the Harmony Cup is based on the structure of ORIGAMI's “AROMA Series,” designed to trap the aroma of coffee and allow it to spread richly when drinking. The complex, fruity aroma of specialty coffee fills the nasal cavity the moment the cup is lifted, allowing you to deeply experience the flavor even before taking a sip. This ability to retain aroma is made possible by the design, which minimizes the escape of aroma within the cup, allowing you to enjoy the full charm of coffee by maintaining aroma and warmth until the last sip.

- Rim shape that smooths the flow of coffee -
The rim of the Harmony Cup features a gentle angle that spreads smoothly, designed so that when the cup is tilted, the coffee flows naturally and spreads across the entire tongue. This allows you to control the “contact point” with your mouth, enabling the coffee to spread smoothly throughout your mouth, enhancing the unique sweetness and body of specialty coffee. Additionally, the shape of the rim also plays a role in controlling the flow, spreading the liquid like a “surface” and allowing it to flow into the mouth, touching the entire tongue (tip, center, sides, and back) and making it easier to feel the spread of flavor. Each time you drink, you can enjoy a consistent taste, and the structure allows the barista's attention to detail in brewing the coffee to be directly conveyed to the drinker.

- A multi-layered taste experience -
The basic shape of the Harmony Cup is closely related to the Aroma Series, but another key feature is the adoption of the Pinot rim shape. The Pinot rim shape is gently curved outward. This design allows the liquid to spread across the entire tongue, enabling a balanced perception of flavors such as acidity, sweetness, and body. The rim shape, designed to allow the rich flavors of specialty coffee to spread across the entire tongue, particularly highlights acidity and fruity flavors, capturing sweetness at the center of the tongue and a subtle bitterness at the back, providing a diverse taste experience.
